I’m speaking but these are not my words
And these thoughts are not always mine
You see the words that I wrote in this poem
You’ll get a message as you read each line.

There’s a spirit that lives inside of me
It is God who is living inside
It’s God who is speaking from inside of me
And it’s God who put the words on each line

I am just a messenger of God
For the words aren’t always my own
I write in service for Christ my Lord
For I know that I’m never alone.

Listen to the words with a heart wide open
Get ready and ask God to come in
He’ll fill your heart with never ending love
And he’ll cleanse your soul of sin.

These are the words that come from God
They’re his words and not always mine
I’m spreading the word that God is alive
And there’s no greater love you’ll find.

I’ll write in service and love for God
So I’m doing what God meant to be
God is putting these thoughts in my mind
It is God who is speaking through me.

It is God who is working from inside of me
I feel joy from his spirit inside
Hear his voice through the words of this poem
Feel the spirit and set your doubts aside.
