The Lord in His Mercy

“Have mercy on me, O LORD! Consider my trouble from those who hate me, You who lift me up from the gates of death, that I may tell of all Your praise in the gates of the daughter of Zion. I will rejoice in Your salvation.

The nations have sunk down in the pit which they made; in the net which they hid, their own foot is caught. The LORD is known by the judgment He executes; the wicked is snared in the work of his own hands.  Selah" Psalm 9:13-16

The LORD in His mercy extends salvation to those who seek His deliverance...seeking the only One who can lift up from the gates of death. The thanksgiving that comes from this deliverance should be evident to those around the delivered one.

Those foolish enough to turn from the LORD fall prey to their own destructive devices...they are caught fast and know bondage without any hope of rescue.

When righteous judgment occurs, the hand of the LORD is evident. The wicked has made his own snare and now languishes in its cruel hold.

Because the mercy of God is available to me in Jesus Christ, I will ask for that mercy as I live each day. May my rejoicing in His mercy be evident to those around me, by His grace and for His glory.
