New Year Want

“Yet indeed I also count all things loss for the excellence of the knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord, for whom I have suffered the loss of all things, and count them as rubbish, that I may gain Christ and be found in Him, not having my own righteousness, which is from the law, but that which is through faith in Christ, the righteousness which is from God by faith; that I may know Him and the power of His resurrection, and the fellowship of His sufferings, being conformed to His death.” Philippians 3:8-9 NKJV

“That I may know Him and the power of His resurrection!”

As his blood-bought people, we need Jesus.
As his blood-bought people, we need the power of Jesus’ resurrection.
Who can deny such a need?
I certainly need Jesus and his resurrection power.
When writing to the church at Philippi, the Apostle Paul didn’t mince his words one bit. God had miraculously saved him and used him in countless ways, but he longed for more. He longed to know Jesus and his resurrection power.

It’s good for you and me to contemplate the New Year we have just entered.
What do we expect in 2025?
What do we need in 2025?
What do we want in 2025?
Do we long to know Jesus and his resurrection power like Paul did?
