Leighton, sadly, in the last 120 years of Christian apostasy, nearly all true Christians are now Arminians like yourself. I used to be an Arminian until God opened my eyes to the true nature of His salvation of the elect. Arminianism is heresy, because it nullifies the grace of God. It is "another gospel" which is really no gospel at all (Galatians 1) because it makes faith a work of man, rather than a gift of God (Ephesians 2:8-10). Regeneration precedes faith (John 3 and Titus 3). The best example of this is John the Baptist, who received the Holy Spirit while he was still in the womb (Luke 1:15)! This is how God saves the elect unborn that die or are killed, the elect infants or young children that die before having the capacity for faith, and the elect of unsound mind. If you are an Arminian, you can boast that you were the final arbiter of your salvation. But that is biblically wrong! God will have no part of that! Leighton, in my view, God did not give perfect Satan and the perfect demons His Holy Spirit and this is why they fell. Similarly, He did not give perfect Adam and perfect Eve His Holy Spirit and that is why they fell when they faced the temptation of Satan. And so Adam and Eve were justly condemned to death and hell as minuscule unholy creatures of an infinite holy Creator. They became spiritually dead in their trespasses and sins, unless God regenerated them by His Holy Spirit, enabling them to love and trust Elohim again, which I believe He did, along with Abel, but not Cain and probably most of his descendants. Is God unjust in choosing on whom He has mercy and on whom He does not? Absolutely not! It is amazing that He saves any of us minuscule unholy creatures! Your Arminian view is the one that makes God unfair, because you have to argue that God equally offered salvation to the line of Cain just as He did to the line of Seth, to the Gentiles just as to the Jews in OT times, and to Gentiles and Jews who died never hearing the Gospel just as to those that did. That is an appalling view of God! God loved Jacob, but hated Esau from the womb and the context is about the election to salvation. Did Pharaoh have the same "chance" (as you would now see it) at salvation as Moses? How about Judas: the same "chance" as the other 11? Sorry, that is not what the Bible teaches! There is a double predestination: the elect and the reprobate. Sadly, you have left this truth and nullified grace! Repent and return!
