              Is My Worthiness All For God’s Honor?

 His divine power has granted to us all things that pertain to life and godliness, through the knowledge of him who called us to his own glory and excellence. 2 Peter 1:3 NASB 1995

Followers of our Lord understand our ‘worth’, does not come from striving after worldly riches. Nor our academic credentials. Often, we’re reminded, God holds the purse strings. Nor does not come through any human achievement of endeavor, fame, or accomplishment, apart from God’s authority working in us, for His honor.

‘Through the knowledge of Him,’ defines for us our living is not about ‘ourself!’ Our purpose to live a godly life, is for others to recognize, the result of the power of God’s presence.

Finding fulfillment and true contentment of purpose and worth, takes practice. Remember when, as a child you took that first two wheel bicycle ride? Excited but uncertain, maybe even fearful? Sometimes our daily walk through faith, like our first bicycle ride, has uncertainties over matters on our heart.

Putting God’s word to work in us, continues the progression of taking our Spiritual infancy step. To running God’s marathon. Our Lord defines it so well; since you have been born again, not of perishable seed but of imperishable, through the living and abiding word of God; 1 Peter 1:23 ESV

Overcomers are individuals formerly of human reasoning (self-sufficiency) to godly dependency. Making active, the voice of His Holy Spirit, and the voice of God’s word. (Psalm 103:20). It will put us in the front of our Spiritual Marathon journey.

Wearing the name Christian by itself has no life, but the voice of God’s Spirit and word living in us, will reflect divine life. This new life becomes a sacred mystery, as we recognize the result.  Like recognizing strong winds blowing. We don’t see wind, but the results of what strong winds will do.

Father, living your word is faith in action, worthy to wear, Amen
