I walked down a long and dark road
A road cobbled with pebbles,
A road difficult to walk through
The road seemed unending as I walked.
I walked down a long and dark road
I walked alone and doubled my steps.
I walked to reach the end of the road fast
But the road kept getting longer as I walked.
I walked down a long and dark road
I walked in earnest strength.
I had to finally run at times
To keep covering the stretch before me.
I walked down a long and dark road
I walked in silence, walked in pain.
The road of suffering is not an easy one
When the rough road surrounds.
I walked down a long and dark road
It was the longest road of my life.
I knew it would take a very long time
But I had been selected and chosen for this road.

I reached the junction in the front at last.
I looked to the left, there was total darkness.
I looked to the right, I saw a light.
I made up my mind and ran towards the light
For He the Light of this world will heal me.
