 Humility

“And in Your majesty ride prosperously because of truth, humility, and righteousness; and your right hand shall teach you awesome things.” Psalm 45:4. NKJV
The psalmist addresses the promised Messiah.

Truth, humility, and righteousness.
It’s easy to believe truth and righteousness as being vital to Jesus’ fulfilment of his earthly ministry, but his humility is equally vital in his life’s work of saving us at Calvary.
It’s highlighted on his journey to Jerusalem near the end of his life: “Tell the daughter of Zion, ‘Behold, your King is coming to you, lowly, and sitting on a donkey.'” Matthew 21:5 NKJV.
And how does he instruct us to get relief from our daily problems?
“Come to me, all you who labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.” Matthew 11:28-30 NKJV.
“Gentle and lowly in heart.”
Well, I certainly need more truth, humility, and righteousness if I’m to be a good witness for Jesus.
