Encouragement
The potential to change the heart and direction of someone's life, if only it be one person, that one connection, is flowing inside of us as the children of Jesus. When we step out by His leading, the truth remains, that we will most-likely not even be able to see the end results, that long-lasting impact and positive difference made in the life of another, of a heart forever touched. But in Heaven's eternal courts, we will. Well done, Child, You did very well. Now Come, Welcome into my presence. Until that day arrives, we have the same great Physician, His healing hands bound with our own. When we allow the hands and feet of our Redeemer to be infused with ours, while we go about His business on earth, following Him alone, ultimately, as He leads us in the way, We begin to see the needs of others, to be more aware of those people hurting and broken around us. We might all see them, each of us, from different viewpoints, because we are all different. Some of us show empathy more than others, and some less, but we are made, and saved, every one of us who have Jesus as our Father, with different experiences, different personalities. I am not you, you are not me. But we have a God-given mission-field, and a heavenly calling on this earth. You may not set sail across the seas to a foreign people and minister to them, your mission journey may start, and in many more common cases it does, locally. But people are all around, and they are in desperation, if they realize it or not, for Christ, as we all were before He seized our attention, made us to understand that we were without Him, and entered the stories of our lives. This is our targeted audience. They are not a project, they are people, human beings like we are, and they need what God has given to us. You have healing inside of you, only because your heavenly Father is the heavenly Healer. Do you realize the ability you have, we have, to change the lives of others for the better, only by showing up, being intentional, being there for them, praying for them, or encouraging their hearts with healing words? A thought occured to me today. Jesus was with the disciples when the storms of life hit. And He still is today with us, likewise. But He not only healed people, walked with them, but with words, sometimes short sentences, in some cases maybe one simple word, the word come, like when He spoke to Peter before he ventured out on the waves. On a different occasion He said peace be still. The thought is this, He had the power through His words to speak healing into a heart and situation. He brought comfort, in some cases the words spoken through Him brought strength and peace. We may not always realize the depths of what someone is facing in life, but we have something to give them, according to the spiritual abilities, those spiritual gifts, God has birthed into us, that we might use them for His glory, and hopefully for the benefit and healing of others, when we reach out to them with open hearts and arms. Do not under-estimate what you have been given. You have amazing potential, and God sees that in you as only He can. Use it to both bring Him honour and to reach out on purpose, even to someone you have never met before. I know it is a dangerous time we live in today. But there are public places, with people all around, Let God lead you, Be wise, But try and touch a complete stranger's heart. Be helpful in some way to them, If they accidentally drop something on the floor, Pick it up for them. Or say a prayer over their life, while standing next to them. It may seem somewhat uncomfortable at first, if you are new to doing it, But sowing seeds in the lives of people, this is what being a witness, an ambassador of Christ Jesus, and what the great commission is. You do not have to preach a sermon. When I first accepted Christ into my life, at the beginning I was so enthused about being saved, it was that first fresh love the bible talks about, things were changing for better. I knew God wanted me to serve Him, to do something for the glory of the Lord. I was praying, Lord send me. Whatever you want me to do, I will. I had the passion, and to be honest, I probably was thinking, God is going to use me to touch the masses, I am going to be used by Him to touch many lives, because God can do that even through me. And while the faith and passion I had in Jesus was good to have, I realized eventually, that God uses us all in different ways, and in most cases, I may touch only one life on this earth, but even if that one is touched, it will be worth it. God can and will use every willing vessel. It may not always happen how we envision it to happen though. He showed me that I must use only what He has given, I am commanded to do only what I can, with what I have been given by Him. Do not despise the day of small things. Do not underestimate what God will do through you. But please use what you have in your hand, and do not use what another person has, your gifts are your yours alone, There is not another you, you are fearfully and wonderfully made. Before God formed you in the womb, before He gave you a name, and even engraved that name on His own hand and His heart, before all of this, He knew you, He thought of us then, and still has your memory stamped upon His heart. His approval, His smile, the honour that comes only from Him, is all we truly need. Many times over, we will not see the evidence before our eyes, that show the impact God is using us to make on the hearts of others, But we must continue on. God is still on the move, He is working. And when we finally arrive at our home away from the home we walk in and abide in now, On those streets of glory, I want to believe that we will know without doubt that every work, everything accomplished, our labour, nothing was in vain, and on that perfect day with no more night, shadows, or darkness at all to plague our surrounding in that amazing city of the Lord, It will be confirmed that The God of all glory and grace and majesty, has made sure that our rewards have been handed out to us. We will all bow, kneeling humbly, undeserving from a certain stand-point, we will find no reason to boast. But we will cry, Holy, Holy, Holy, is the Lord, Who alone is worthy, while we cast down every crown, every God-given trophy, back at the feet of Heaven's Victor and Champion of greatness. Until then, Continue serving. Continue witnessing. Reaching out to people. The small deeds will add up. Both those who put forth the good seeds, and also those who preach a message, and obtain the harvest of a soul being saved, Both people, with different functions, will have joy in Heaven. And it all goes back to the glory of God, and every time we allow Him to be made known and shown through us, we are glorifying Him, bringing to His face a smile, We are doing His will. Do not give up. Hang in there. God is not unrighteous to forget what you are doing, and have accomplished, and will, by the working of His mighty power. Trust His plan, His way, and timing. You are the One God desires to work and shine through. He is not finished with your life. While He helps you to make Him known to others, pray for those He will use you to pour into, Trust the process, and never forget, as a wise friend once reminded me, God's word will not return void. It will accomplish what He sets it forth to accomplish. Speak and show forth healing and God's love, because in doing so, we are showing the face of Christ, and our prayer is, that His life, His face, be only what others behold when we allow Him to flow and shine through us. The heavenly cause is real, and people are worth it. So are the results of the outcome, which we will not always see with our physical eyes, But with the view of faith, and by the power of our healing, loving God, We believe for what He alone can and will do through even us, that others may be touched, and pointed to Him.
