               Living by Faith Is Not by Feelings or Fear

But whoever listens to me will dwell safely, And will be secure, without fear of evil.” Proverbs 1:33 NKJV

I know many, even some of my own, that I love dearly, find it difficult to understand, our soul concern should be showing the world the blessedness of listening to the voice of Godly wisdom. God’s word brings the Spiritual unregenerate to find and recognize how the presence of His Spirit in us will see us through to overcome feelings of doubt and uncertainty.

Our world around us is doing everything it can to put seeds of unbelief  and fear in us over God’s promise’s. Learning to dwell safely for all the obstacles before us is learning to let go. I like what the Apostle Paul shared for us.
 Brethren, I do not regard myself as having laid hold of it yet; but one thing I do: forgetting what lies behind and reaching forward to what lies ahead. Philippians 3:13 NASB 1995

If I’m to understand what God’s goal is for me, to recognize the prize of the upward call our lord has for me, I must let go of yesterday. Or anything that might drain me emotionally with fear.

Charles Spurgeon put it this way. “we only progress in sound living as we progress in sound understanding. “Your word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light onto my path.” PS 119:105
Do not say of any error, “It is only a matter of opinion.” No one indulges in errors of judgement without sooner or later tolerating errors in living. Hold fast for the Truth, for by doing so, you will be sanctified by the Spirit.”

Most certainly, when my goal is looking for ‘The Prize,’ I’m learning to dwell within the arms of God’s wisdom and protection. Not my feelings or fear.

Father, Lead us daily, help us recognize your Spirit showing us the way, AMEN
