Love is patient and love is kind,
It does not envy or would boast;
It gives you peace to ease the mind,
Aligns with the heavenly host.

It is not arrogant or rude,
It does not insist on its way;
It has not a resentful mood,
And it will never disobey.

It rejoices not something’s wrong,
Rather rejoices with the truth;
Love causes you to become strong,
Restoring vigor from your youth.

Love bears all things as it endures,
Love gives hope in all with belief;
It is the means that also cures,
Love will continue its relief.

Whether it is a prophecy,
It will soon be passing away;
Eyes will cease as to what they see,
As for knowledge that tongues will say.
