Preserve me and hear a just cause,
For in You Lord, I put my trust;
Give ear to my prayer of my flaws,
Freeing me from deceit and lust.

Your presence gives vindication,
Letting Your eyes behold the right;
Using Your justification,
Enabling me with Your insight.

Because You have tested my heart,
And have visited me by night;
And You have found nothing to thwart,
But has always been a delight.

For concerning the works of man,
Have not blocked the violent ways;
That has discomfited Your plan,
As the righteous in showing praise.

My steps have held fast to Your path,
I did not slip to make me fall;
And You have spared me from Your wrath,
Assured to answer when I call.

Incline Your ear, hear what I say,
Wondrously show Your steadfast love;
The enemies who disobey,
Turn a deaf ear to up above.

O Savior, I ask to seek aid,
Refuge from my adversaries;
For the righteous have been afraid,
Satan sent his emissaries.
