Sorrow will turn into joy
In a little while you will be sad,
In a little while you will be glad
Sadness will be taken over by full joy.
Sorrow will turn into joy
In a little while you will see me
In a little while you will search for me,
In a little while you will weep for me
But when I come again your joy will be the fullest.
Sorrow will turn into joy
It will flip over so fast
To bring the rejoicing sunny side up.
A joy that will melt our hearts
A joy that will burn our hearts.
Sorrow will turn into joy
The tears will flow on during the night
But the night will not last forever.
The morn will dawn and bring with it
A joyful rising of the Risen Son.
Sorrow will turn into joy
Joy that cannot be suppressed
Joy that will have to be shared.
A lasting joy that can be well carried over
Into the eternal boundary to be happy with him forever
For as long as he lives, we will live too.
In a little while you will be sad,
