What a meeting must that have been!
When angels sat on the rolled back stone.
When the empty tomb shone with a pure light.
When the garden bloomed in green joy
And the pious women encountered this sight.

What a meeting must that have been!
When Magdalene rushed to anoint her Lord
When Jesus himself came up to greet her.
When the sun had not yet risen on earth
But the Son of man had risen from the earth.

What a meeting must that have been!
When Mary could scarce contain her delight
When Love abounded in profusion from all sides.
When she reached to touch her loving Master
When Jesus gave her a message for his disciples.

What a meeting must that have been!
When the long road to Emmaus was heavy with grief
When few disciples walked with their sad heads down.
But the presence of the Lord changed this road
Into a heart burning scripture narrative one.

What a meeting must that have been!
When the Risen Christ broke the bread at night.
When his identity became known to those
Who were blessed to have him back with them.

What a meeting must that have been!
When the Blessed Virgin embraced her Risen Son.
When Peter and John understood it all at last
When their Lord and Teacher brought them out into the light.

What a meeting must that have been!
When the Risen Lord himself appeared in the upper room
When his hidden disciples were astonished to see his new form
When the Lord once more supped with them in a new Easter meal.

What a meeting must that have been!
When the true message of Love became known to all
When the gates of death was overcome once and for all.
When the promise of eternal life had become a reality in time.
When God met man and man was saved to be his own forever.
