Recline close to me.
Recline as we eat the Passover Meal
This is our best meal together.

Recline next to my heart
Recline as I dip the bread in the dish.
Recline as we celebrate the Paschal supper
Recline as I feed you with the loyal bread.

Recline next to my heart
Recline as I give you a new command.
A command to love one another
A command to do as I have done.

Recline next to my heart
Recline at the table with me
As I break the bread and drink the wine
In a new covenant of my body and blood.

Recline next to my heart
Pay heed to the words that I say
Tonight I serve you in the humblest way
This is the night that cannot be bypassed.

Recline next to my heart
This upper room will be sealed in time
As the place of the first mass on earth
Where I am the Priest forever in the order of Melchizedek.

Recline next to my heart
My heart is heavy this night
Let these few moments together
Give you strength to face tomorrow.
