If there is to be joy this year,
It must be found within my soul.
For nothing wrought by human hands
Can heal or make me whole.

It there is to be peace this year,
It must be found within my heart.
For nothing in this world of ours
Will peacefulness impart.

It there is to be hope this year,
It must be sown in faith and prayer.
Knowing whatever befalls us
Our God will meet us there.

If there is to be love this year,
It will be found in God alone.
So seek your joy, peace, and hope
Kneeling before His throne.
