Apologetics

Since Martin Luther King Jr's successful campaign to get America to live up to it's founding principles of equality, the same basic forces have been competing as during the civil rights campaign.
In his Letter from Birmingham Jail, Dr. King wrote of two different forces in the black community other than his own during the civil rights era.
"One is a force of complacency, made up in part of Negroes who, as a result of long years of oppression, are so drained of self-respect and a sense of 'somebodies' that they have adjusted to segregation; and in part of a few middle-class Negroes who, because of a degree of academic and economic security and because in some ways they profit by segregation, have become insensitive to the problems of the masses.
The other force is one of bitterness and hatred, and it comes perilously close to advocating violence. It is expressed in the various black nationalist groups that are springing up across the nation, the largest and best known being Elijah Muhammad’s Muslim movement. Nourished by the Negro’s frustration over the continued existence of racial discrimination, this movement is made up of people who have lost faith in America, who have absolutely repudiated Christianity, and who have concluded that the white man is an incorrigible 'devil".
Dr. King saw the problem with these two forces, and used another way to call attention to the problem and showed the country the error of its ways. He wanted America to live up to the constitutional principle of equal protection of the law. It was time to cash in on the Declaration of Independence. As Surpreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas said, "The Declaration of Independence did not fail us; we failed the Declaration of Independence."
The force of bitterness and hatred, of which Dr. King spoke, is active today, in the form of Marxist Groups such as Black Lives Matter. It hates America and has no room for God.
A few years back, in an interview, Dr. Carol M Swain said that Black Lives Matter is a Marxist organization. It's agenda is to dismantle the nuclear family, transform gender/sexual idenity, and force radical change, the professor said. BLM doesn't help blacks but uses them to further its cause and is clearly antithetical to true Christian belief.
As was the case with MLK, who argued Biblical principles on which to base his cause, president Abraham Lincoln based his anti-slavery arguement on the Bible. Together, conservatives and liberals marched during the Civil Rights March. After the campaign to restore the constitutional principle of equal protection under the law was successful, conservatives went one way and the liberals another.
The problem of law that infringed on the rights of others was resolved, but liberals championed a welfare/big government state to allegedly combat injustice. As is the case today, blacks were made victims.
America needs to go back to the Bible for its source for running the country.
"if My people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land." -2 Chronicles 7:14
