Joe Biden Deserves Credit for the Thriving American Economy

In the fourth quarter of 2022, the CEO of my company told employees regardless of what you hear in the news, “We are in a recession.”

We waited for the hammer to drop in 2023.

The economy, despite inflation, rolled along like a freight train in the open plains. The most recent data showed a hot jobs market, despite many of those new jobs in the government, and an economy that defies continued inflation. Of course, the right will say to expect a revision to those numbers in the next month just as the hot job and economic data in past months was revised at a later date showing a little different story.

However, you cannot deny something positive remains in the American economy keeping us employed and spending. To that I say, “Great job President Joe Biden.” You indeed deserve much of the credit but not because of Bidenomics or your policies. It’s because you sided with Israel. This is what Joe Biden said on Oct. 7:

“Today the people of Israel are under attack orchestrated by a terrorist organization, Hamas,” he said.  “In this moment of tragedy, I want to say to them and to the world, and to terrorists everywhere, that the United States stands with Israel. We will not ever fail to have their back. We’ll make sure that they have the help their citizens need and they can continue to defend themselves.”

Biden later went on to say, “I am a Zionist.”

His so-far unwavering support surprised some as his administration, for the most part, as well as that of Barack Obama’s which he served as Vice President, has shown indifference if not hostility at times with Israel. But three months later with no sign of a permanent resolution to end the war in Israel, how long will Biden have Israel’s back?

Arguably, Donald Trump gave Americans the best economy of the last 50 years during his presidency. The Trump administration was a friend of Israel. Yes, Israel loves Donald Trump. They named a train station after him and minted a coin bearing his image because Trump was the first president to declare Jerusalem as the capital of Israel.

Then 2020 hit.

Trump announced his so-called Deal of the Century on Jan. 28, 2020 less than an hour later a 7.7 earthquake rocked Miami with an epicenter between Jamaica and Cuba and the same day coronavirus went worldwide. Deal of the Century called for Israel to lose a small amount of land in the Negev near the Gaza-Egypt border and a pathway for a Palestinian state in the vast majority of territory in the West Bank.

Oops.

Joel 3:2 warns those against dividing the land of Israel. Sorry President Trump but arguably your presidency descended into Covid chaos because of your Deal of the Century, despite your best intentions. Trading land for peace never works and the Bible warns about dividing God's country.

“Behold, I am going to make Jerusalem a cup that causes staggering to all the peoples around; and when the siege is against Jerusalem, it will also be against Judah.” – Zech 12:2

Jesus commanded his followers to watch. Over and over “watch.” Mark 13:32-37 Jesus says to “watch” four times in the context of His second coming. So, therefore watch. In the coming months if Joe Biden turns his back on Israel, demands them to backdown their annihilation of Hamas or calls for a complete stoppage of the war, calls for dividing the land or pulls back resorts the United States as a mere protester, for or against, watch what happens to the American economy.

The dominoes stand in place. All the United States needs to descend into financial chaos is for the first one to fall. Will Joe Biden get things started with how he treats Israel in the coming months?
