Encouragement
Psalm 147: 3 (Kjv)
Maybe when you were a child at one time, someone gave you a puzzle for a gift. I believe, looking back I may have received at least one, but I know I have never been the best at putting puzzles together, because I honestly do not have enough patience for it. But especially when it comes down to my life and all that has concerned me, and everything that both does and will happen all around me, I am very thankful that I have a heavenly Father, One who is committed to my well-being, who has my very best interests at heart, He knows what is best for me and when it needs to happen, it is true that even when to us He is late, God, in His perfect sovereignty and divine nature, in His everlasting power and devotion to us in our imperfect and human conditions, He is always right on time. His schedule is not the same as ours, to Him a thousand years is only as one day. He is God alone, there is none above Him and His greatness, He has no rival, no equal, There is no one like Him anywhere, There never will be. I am also very thankful He is dependable, moreso than any one of us on this earth. He is my Friend, one that as the bible says, sticketh closer than any brother, than really anyone at all. He is constantly with us, He has not forsaken you to fend for yourself, No. He is good to all, He is merciful, forgiving, loving you at this very moment, slow to get angry, patiently kind toward you and myself, He has not cast us off the edge of the earth, and His mercy and goodness that reaches out to us, that causes Him to see us through eyes of compassion, and to be ever touched by the feelings of our infirmities, they cannot cease, they will not be quenched. Brokenness, which is not always a result of sin, can happen because life happens, Jesus Himself said that troubles will come, and in John chapter nine in God's word, we see that sometimes brokenness, adversity, whatever name we give it, difficult situations happen in our lives that we cannot always give answer for, but sometimes it is because God chooses to do extraordinary things, to create masterpieces out of broken pieces, for the scattered parts, every one of those pieces, of our lives, of our hearts, can be mended, maybe not as soon as we would like, but in God's perfect and divine schedule He can arrive, and when He does, He sees our scattered, broken pieces there, all laid out, every one of them separated but lying there on the ground, just like a puzzle not yet finished, untouched even by human hands. But when we feel as though we are out of strength, out of patience, out of hope, like the pieces of our hearts and our lives cannot be placed back together, in an orderly fashion as we would like them to be, that is when the Master can step in and place them back together. He is the great Physician of our hearts, Talk with Him in prayer, trust Him above all, Bring Him every broken piece, That is what He is there for, He cares deeply about what you might be facing today, knows every struggle, every tear that falls from our eyes, He is aware of everything you are needing today, every change you deeply desire to happen in your life for the better. He is a heart-transformer, and a life-changer, He makes the positive difference on the inside of a person, He makes us new, makes us better than we ever could be on our own, we all of us need Him in our lives daily, for without Him we are nothing, without Him we can do nothing truly effective that will last, we are desperate for His powerful yet gracious hand working in each of our lives. The bible says God knows our human frame, and He remembers that we are dust. He knows what we are made of because He alone is our Creator, and He knows the exact number of pieces that have fallen apart in each of our lives. The man called Job in the bible comes to my mind. A part of verse 8 found in Job chapter 2 has this to say about what he did after all that he had went through, when everything seemed to go wrong, and nothing right in his life, so it seemed. In verse 8 It says in part, .... and he sat down among the ashes. If you feel like this today, the Lord knows, He knows you, and everything about you, and He loves you very much, There is nothing too difficult you are facing that cannot be fixed by His power and might, Sit there where you are, bow before the Heavenly Father among all of the ashes of your life that surrounds you, Bring to God every broken piece, lay every one into His gracious and caring hands, withholding not one of them back, for He deeply cares for us. Our lives, and all that surrounds them, are held together by the hands of Jesus. He is not angry with you, He is not finished with you, But He waits for us, to bring to Him alone, everything thing that we cannot fit together, all that we cannot do by ourselves, even every question we do not have an answer for, we can entrust all of it into His care. For His word is always true, and He remains just as faithful, committed, as His word. Be still and know that He is God, and He is right there wherever we find ourselves, just waiting for us to call out His name, and to invite Him into the middle of our times of brokenness. He is not afraid nor surprised by what we have went through. Worship Him for all He is. Bring Him all the ashes, all the mess, He can give a peace that passes all understanding, and eventually, according to His timing, you will get through all that you face, God is for us, not against us, He is One who draws near to those who's spirits are cast down, those who feel they have given all they can, and have no more to give. But do not quit. Get back up, and continue on in this journey that is called life. God is the strength that helps us to continue on. First, we must come into His presence. He is amazing at meeting us right where we are.
