The Choir Boy
Jamie Winston, now 12 years old, has a vision. A vision that God has given him. To sing, to touch peoples hearts and lives. Jamie also has a sense of awareness, when God is near.
Before he was born, Jamie could hear his mother sing to him everyday. She is in the church choir, and she always loves to sing in front of people, everyone for that matter including her son, who would be born in a few months time. She has a very clear voice, and it sounds so sweet, and moving. People in church who were not sure to step forward to except the lord felt they were propelled by her voice, like she was speaking only to them, and she was! So, every Sunday, in church, she would praise the Lord, and sing for the people to come forth and accept Him.
Her life was changed when she was younger, by somene she felt close to who sang for the lord, and for the people to come forth. Her mother, Mary, with the voice of a bell, that spoke to anyones heart who heard her. She encouraged her daughter to take voice lessons, to fine tune her already radiant voice. And Marie did, and she passed on her genes to her son, Jamie.
Jamie sings everywhere. But the place he sings at more than anywhere, is at Wolf Creek Pass. There is the evergreen forest, with trees as far as the eye can see. And when its winter..the ocustics are inspiring as a voice of a human, bounces off the trees and the snow. But more so, He is there. Right beside Jamie, and the lord and Jamie will sing together. No Jamie is not bound to leave this earth, but to come closer to his God. For God in his wisdom will have the animals lend their verbal help, and the wind and the trees to use as natures symphony. His voice will carry over hills and mountains, it will soar to the highest point and down to and through the valleys. A young boy who pants after the lord, to speak to Gods people.
God’s choir boy, dressed in blue, with a twinkle in his eyes, standing among the tall evergreen trees, with the snow covered branches bowing to Him who created them. The sky so blue, the air so crisp, and a boy who has reached his dreams. Not of fame and forturne although that shall happen. But to stand up for the Lord, to say here I am, and to use his voice, to reach the lost sheep.
Why the forest you ask? Why not at a church, anywhere? For someone is out there in this forest, who is lost not only in where they are, but who they are..and all hope is almost gone…till they hear..the Choir Boy sing.
