A call in the still of the night, a ringing from the phone, The voice on the other end announces, your dear loved one has passed on, in this moment, Love will lead you home. Just a discouraged soul, one so far from home, you feel as if you have made a mess out of life, and feeling so all alone, But Love will lead you home. You have a hurting heart, feeling so bruised, and broken, words cannot fix it, no matter how good they are, or how many are spoken, You feel like you have not a friend in the world, no one left to care, But I tell you the truth, friend, Jesus loves you, and He is there. And when you feel forsaken, when you feel alone, Jesus is right there with you still, Love will lead you home, Home within His two welcoming arms, home in the presence of Father and Friend, Home where the Prince of peace dwells, Home where Love is, and His love for us ne’er can end. When we grow weary, our hearts filled with sorrow, Let us always remember, Love awaits us in our brand new tomorrow, For time is fleeing, and now it will not be too long, until we see Jesus, and we realize, Love has finally led us home.
