                      Endure For The Salvation of The Elect

 Therefore I endure everything for the sake of the elect, that they also may obtain the salvation that is in Christ Jesus with eternal glory. 2 Timothy 2:10 ESV

Our Savior brings those we love before Him, to become ‘New Creatures in Jesus.’ Along with situations of living. Challenges as the object for finding God’s sufficiency.  

Our Lord desires that none should be lost. (2 Peter 3:9), our ability to persevere and never tire in our petitions and praises never goes unnoticed. I am ever so thankful for those who endured their love to our Lord on my behalf.

What Paul wrote to young Timothy in my opening verse; ‘endure everything…’ has no limitation to define or determine our strength, to keep on keep’n on.

The challenge to those we keep before our Lord is to recognize and understand, God’s love and purpose and way. They’re far greater than all the way the world pursues things. Pursing our goal, our hope to fulfill our longing, is never really made complete unless we recognize how to do it for God’s honor and design.

Even in vocational pursuit, seeking marriage, maybe purchasing a home or new auto…? No matter what the object of our longing, There’s always a good, or better, or ‘best’ way to endure the challenge.

Wait for the Lord; be strong, and let your heart take courage; wait for the Lord! Psalm 27:14

Learning to wait… confronts us all. Purposing endurance with our every longing to wait will bring God’s best for all we endure for the sake of the elect.

Father, for those coming to obtain salvation, show us to wait with endurance without losing heart.
