To the Christians who were living in a troubling and dangerous Roman world, the apostle Paul gave a reassuring truth.
“We know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose.” Romans 8:28
Has that fact ever been a comfort to you in your struggles?
Well, to the Ephesian believers he presents them with an amazing challenge.
“Giving thanks always for all things to God the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.” Ephesians 5:20
Have you ever thanked the Lord when you missed the bus?
Tripped up and banged your knee badly?
Said ‘Thank you, Jesus’ when you lost your job?
“All things.”
