One of you will say to me: “Then why does God still blame us? For who is able to resist his will?” But who are you, a human being, to talk back to God? “Shall what is formed say to the one who formed it, ‘Why did you make me like this?’ ” Does not the potter have the right to make out of the same lump of clay some pottery for special purposes and some for common use? I like Paul’s analogy here of comparing a potter and the clay that he molds to God the creator and we humans the creation. The potter has given the clay free will that all may choose whether to recognize that they are the clay and not the potter. The potter, God, already know those who will belong to Him and those that will not. If this were not the case and all belonged to God, then there would be no free will and all we as humans would be, are puppets. We get to choose who and what we believe in. Those who belong to God know the truth and are saved through Jesus Crist.
