                        Letters God Sent to Us

And this is the testimony, that God gave us eternal life, and this life is in his Son. Whoever has the Son has life; whoever does not have the Son of God does not have life. 1 John 5:11-12 ESV

How blessed we are to recognize, the bible is indeed, letters God sends to us- as even our prayers are our letters of praise and thanksgiving to God! What a treasure to have God’s promises and grace provided us, as we glean from His preeminence.

Living daily, established from our ‘new birth,’ is investing into our eternal heritage. Far greater than dealing with the turmoil and contention from the world all around us. God, through His letters to us, provide the ‘way of escape,’ from temptations to drag us down into despair and fear. We are followers through faith, for His purpose are promises to hold on to.

For thou didst form my inward parts, thou didst knit me together in my mother’s womb. I praise thee, for thou art fearful and wonderful. Wonderful are thy works! Thou knowest me right well; my frame was not hidden from thee, when I was being made in secret, intricately wrought in the depths of the earth. Thy eyes beheld my unformed substance; in thy book were written, every one of them, the days that were formed for me, when as yet there was none of them. Psalm 139:13-16 RSV

Father, the treasure we have, to take hold, for our new life ‘in Christ,’ is testimony what your love measures out for your workmanship in us. Thank you for sending your letters, promises to be lived now and throughout eternity. AMEN
