Therefore, brothers and sisters, we have an obligation—but it is not to the flesh, to live according to it. For if you live according to the flesh, you will die; but if by the Spirit you put to death the misdeeds of the body, you will live. Romans 8:12-13 NIV
We all have to make a choice as to how to live our lives. We can either choose to live in the here and now, seeking for ourselves and for instant gratification, material gain, or fame, etc., or we can choose to live for the eternal, for that which is beyond this world. Do we follow the teaching of the Lord, loving our neighbor as ourselves, putting the needs of others before our own, yet not taking care of our real needs? God can provide all that we need if we will trust in Him and believe in Him. He knows everything you truly need, even better than you know it yourself. Do not live for things that will lead to death. Live for things which will bring eternal life.
