The silent battle for the souls of the homeless in Bucks County, PA is a microcosm of the spirtual battle between good and evil. "For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms." -Ephesians 6:12

Since the pandemic, only one church has been hosting dine in meals for the homeless in needy, although one of the churches that had been hosting grab and go, takeout meals decided last Saturday to host a dine in meal. The host said that what's been holding up the dine in meals is the unwillingness of a non-profit organization, AHTN, to transport people to the meals.

Fear mongering, based on junk science, and twisting the facts to fit a political agenda, has duped many into not congregating with others. Even at the dine in meal, some guests decided to grab a meal and go.

The dine in meals are more than a meal; they are a ministry. They offer food for the body as well as food for the soul.

Even the media is reporting that the pandemic has abated, and draconian mandates and recommendations, even from the CDC, are slowly being lifted. Maybe some people have Stockholm syndrome!

AHTN has been transporting the homeless to Code Blues, where the mental health hustlers make an appeal to get the guests on board their tax payer funded (for those who cannot pay) programs, where they are not nurtured by the word of God but by psychobabble and psychotrophic drugs. The church should at least have equal time through the venue of dine in community meals to minister to the homeless, many who are not regular church goers. The mental health hustlers should not even be in a church, but should be driven off like Christ drove off the money changers in the temple!

By the way, the mental health hustlers, as I point out in my book "There are Homeless in Bucks County; A Journey With the Homeless", are part of the system in Bucks County I call Bucks Builds Bums/Build A Bum.

The mental health hustlers have been for years trying to shanghai the homeless. The visit to a homeless camp, as reported by phillyburbs.com, in January 2013 by Penndel Mental Health Center, which the hustlers at the code blues represent, and the Sunday Breakfast Rescue Mission represents two different paradigms of how to help the homeless.

Take a trip in the Way Back machine with Mr. Peabody to the time after the fall of Rome. There was a plague. Many people ran away from it, but Christians stayed and helped the sick, thinking more of others than themselves. This futhered the kingdom of God.

During the Roman reign, women were treated like cattle. Nero not only fiddled while Rome burned; he had a gangsta rap band that sounded like Santa Claus (ho-ho-ho) when rapping about women.

Now with the rotten Roman empire ruined, women embraced the Christian faith. In turn, barbarians were attracted to the Godlike qualities of the women, and were converted and married the women. "We are therefore Christ's ambassadors, as through God were making his appeal through us. We implore you on Christ's behalf: Be reconciled to God." -2 Corinthians 5:20

Covid has been a test of the character. Like tea steeping in hot water, we see what qualities precipitate out. As the lyrics in a popular song from a few decades ago went, "Oz gave nothing to the tin man, that he didn't, didn't already have..."

Covid has been a gift to tyrants and excuse makers. Stop listening to tyrants and stop making excuses to serve others!
