Apologetics

At the height of the protestant reformation, about 20 years before Galileo was born, the Catholic Church decreed that only the church could authentically interpret the Bible and that private interpretation was forbidden. In 1616 at the council of Trent the church branded Galileo as a threat to their conventional wisdom that the earth was the center of the universe.
At the time, the church believed that angels pushed the planets and the sun around the earth, through their human reasoning and because they said so.
Centuries after the council of Trent, the church considered the science of Galileo and Copernicus the basis of modern science
Today the CDC has replaced the council of Trent. Anyone who challenges the "science", the politicized draconian mandates of the CDC to allegegly protect the public from the Corona virus, is demonized and shut down. One example is U-tube taking down Rand Paul's post that showed another view of how to handle the pandemic.
God created the universe for us to explore and discover through our intellect. Scientific discoveries are verified by close scruitany and debate. The Biblical view of the reformation led the way to the scientific revolution and scientific method. As reported in Wikipedia, "The scientific method is an empirical method of acquiring knowledge that has characterized the development of science since at least the 17th century. It involves careful observation, applying rigorous skepticism about what is observed, given that cognitive assumptions can distort how one interprets the observation".
Pope Anthony Fauci and his CDC doesn't invite the true scientific method in his brand of science.
Great strides in science came to Holland, a hotbed of the reformation in the 17th century. The scientific greatness was a result of a true Biblical world view. This Christian steeped culture is reflected in the 17th century painting "Dutch Landscape With A Waterfall", by Jacob van Ruisdael. Here art portrays the universe as a vast, open system. Although humans are just a speck in the universe, they are yet greatly valued by God.
"And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth.
So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them.
And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue is; and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every thing that moeth upon the earth." Genesis 1:26-28
God gave us stewardship over the earth. He gave us a brain to figure out many mysteries of his creation. He also gave us discernment to see through the bunk spewed out by a modern day council of Trent.
