Tokens For Life
Lost, Not Caring To Be Found




I've lost some things along the way
on this journey thru each day.
It began to happen
when I was found by Grace,
continuing on in each minute
always mindful of my pace.

First, it was a pair of old sunglasses.
So marred and stained by worldly dust;
they seemed to hide
the world I needed to see
where Light and Life could abide with me.

Then, shed I a heavy dark coat,
weighing upon my frame,
slowing me down and causing some pain.
Once it was gone,
never missed at all;
I didn't even see it fall.

Left behind a while ago,
a language full of unhopeful gloom;
emptied my heart and left some room
to fill with prayerful words of peace
that continues to bubble like a natural
spring always enjoying the faith it brings!
