Decades ago, after reading Dante's Inferno in college, I had a nightmare. I dreamt that I was at the gates of hell and a sign, as Dante wrote about, read "Abandon All Hope Those Who Enter here" appeared. The idea is that you are trapped in Hell forever. At the gates were sitting two Chinese communist guards. The professor asked me if I was afraid of hell or the communist Chinese. I replied that they are both the same.

Christianity is being threatened by Red China and its athestic principles. But the real threat is spiritual bankrupcy in America. The nation has been turning more and more away from God. Big tech and large companies have been bribed to spew out communist poison, such as the message that our country is systemically racist. Money to help small businesses have been wrongly diverted to large businesses connected with communist China.

In his Letter from Birmingham Jail, Martin Luther King Jr. deliniated two views of how to bring equality to all races in America that differed from his. One was southern blacks who had done well financially and accepted the status quo. Dr. King called them "complacent." Another movement he discribed was the crowd that hated God and America. Followers of this movement believed that our Christian heritage and America needed to be destroyed.

Some people today are content with having lots of money, and will do anything, including telling lies and defaming our heritage, to get it. In the name of helping people who are scared of the Corona virus, hyped up by politicans and their syncopants in the media, people are getting government handouts and don't work, even after the draconian lockdowns abated. Consequently, businesses are having trouble staying viable. This is destroying the economy and the nation.

Except for state sanctioned churches, which are like our liberal churches in America, Red China oppresses the church. We have been doing likewise. The pandemic has been used as a lame excuse to shut down or severely restrict churches. This really tests Christians, and many people are fighting back.
Big tech, the media and others are trying to control what people believe. The truth doesn't matter, just what they think. Like Engulf & Devour in Mel Brook's Silent Movie, their fingers are in everything. At their morning meeting, Engulf & Devour executives face an image of the dollar and pray: "Oh mighty dollar, we pray to thee, for without thee we are in the crapper."

"Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what is the good, pleasing, and perfect will of God. Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind." -Romans 12:2

For the Christian, our money and other God given resources and talents are to further the kingdom of God. We need to not be complacent and love our Christian heritage and be willing to sacrifice to do God's will.

“If My people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land." 2 Chronicles 7:14
