On Friday, Jesus took on the sins of the world when He was crucified on the cross. It was dark. Sin is dark. God fulfilled His promise made back in Genesis that He would redeem sinful man after the fall when Adam and Eve disobeyed Him.

"And I will put enmity between you and the woman, and between your offspring and hers; he will crush your head, and you will strike his heel." -Genesis 3:15

Satan thought he won. His followers thought they eliminated the enemy of the state. Wrong!

Come Sunday, Jesus arose from the grave. He overcame death. Victory! The grave could not hold him. Today Jesus reins in heaven, sitting at the right hand of God. He lives today, as God sent His holy spirit.

Easter is more than Easter bunnys, chocolates, egg hunts, fancy clothes and cliches.

Last night some friends and I saw the Sight & Sound presentation "Jesus". It really moved us and was a reminder that Jesus came to redeem sinners like me and give me life. He set an example how we are to live. We were put on this earth to glorify Him and to  be his ambassadors.

"We are therefore Christ’s ambassadors, as though God were making his appeal through us. We implore you on Christ’s behalf: Be reconciled to God. God made him who had no sin to be sin[a] for us, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God.: -2 Corinthians 5: 20-21
