These ideas came to me while reflecting on some worthy things we might want to do before we die. I'm sure I could add to the list if given more time to think about this matter.

1. Read the Bible through at least a few times

1. Read the Bible through at least a few times
2. Read 1000 books (just 2 per week over 10 yrs or 1 per week over 20 yrs or 1 per month over 40+ yrs)

3. Hike down the Grand Canyon
4. Learn and get proficient in at least a few different sports snow ski and/or water ski, volley ball, ping pong, tennis etc
5. Grow a vegetable garden-A survival skill for wise families
6. Learn to fish-Another survival skill PLUS only then can you truly appreciate Jesus' words "follow me and I will make you fishers of men"
7. Give several speeches before a group. Remember the basic ones: You can inform, persuade or entertain or educate
8. Lead a Bible study (women to women, men to mixed group)
9. Visit a convalescent hospital, pray for and read the bible with somebody)
10. Serve your spouse breakfast in bed.
11. Memorize 100 or more Bible verses.
12. Confess all your known and unknown sins-Includes asking forgiveness from those sinned against
13. Return all borrowed books, and materials. Reimburse financially those you lost or can not return.
14. Give away a considerable portion of your wealth to a worthy person, cause or organization
15. Keep a journal/diary for several years of your life
16. Write a poem or several poems.
17 Put your writings, poems and other sources of collected wisdom into a book to pass on to your children or near kin
18. Pay off all your debts-owe no man anything but love
19. Attend more funerals and cemetaries than weddings.
Remember you too shall someday die and where will you be then? By reading tombstones you'll see how few people even live to 80. Life is short.

20. Travel outside your country or state.
21. Learn a musical instrument-Most pastor's wives play the piano but you can too.
22. Learn to shoot a gun-This is a survival skill for hunting purposes or self-defense against robbers. The Puritan's use to say "Say your prayers and keep your powder dry."
23. Write out your last will and testment.
