Nothing!
It’s not difficult to imagine nothing. It’s not there. It doesn’t exist.
Jesus knew what nothing meant. He speaks of it in John 15 in the context of him being the Vine. “Without me, you can do nothing.” Simple.
Grape vines, apple, plum, pear and cherry trees, all of them must have an uninterrupted layer of bark between each branch, twig, and bud. That is the pathway through which the sap flows. All the nutrients that each part of the tree or vine needs is in the sap. The life is in the sap.
Without me, severed from me, apart from me - - - - - “You can do nothing.”
If I want to bear fruit for him, how much I need to keep that flow of life from Jesus!
