I got a kick out of a picture of my son leaping over a wall in Jerusalem. He with other pastors and other members of his church recently returned from a trip to Israel. Being that I’m a born Jew I was very thrilled to hear that he had gone back and had such a glorious time.

One thing I know for sure…when we are doing what God has called us to do, leaping walls seems very minor. When we walk in obedience to His Word and His Way, He will cause us to overcome any obstacle that may be ahead. Maybe physically many of us would be challenged in jumping over a wall, but spiritually if we are walking close to Jesus, no wall will be able to contain us.

My son went on to show me two other very profound pictures. One was of a goat herder in Israel and the other of a sheep herder. What was so interesting about these pictures is that they portray a deep truth about the scripture. Incase you do not know - goat herders stay in the back of the goat herd prodding and pushing them onto higher ground. A sheep herder does just the opposite. He stands in front of the sheep leading them all along the way. The book of Matthew says:

Then all the nations will be arranged before Him and He will sort the people out, much as a shepherd sorts out sheep and goats putting sheep to His right and goats to His left.
"Then the King will say to those on his right, 'Enter, you who are blessed by my Father! Take what's coming to you in this kingdom. It's been ready for you since the world's foundation. And here's why: I was hungry and you fed me, I was thirsty and you gave me a drink, I was homeless and you gave me a room, I was shivering and you gave me clothes, I was sick and you stopped to visit, I was in prison and you came to me.'
"Then those 'sheep' are going to say, 'Master, what are you talking about? When did we ever see you hungry and feed you, thirsty and give you a drink?
And when did we ever see you sick or in prison and come to you?'
Then the King will say, 'I'm telling the solemn truth: Whenever you did one of these things to someone overlooked or ignored, that was Me--you did it to Me.'
"Then he will turn to the 'goats,' the ones on his left, and say, 'Get out, worthless goats! You're good for nothing but the fires of hell.
(Matthew 25:32-41)

Many people believe that the separation of sheep and goats will take place after Jesus returns to earth again. I believe in my heart that it is already taking place. If you look over this nation, it is ever so clear who the sheep and the goats are. As morality declines and humanistic notions of today theorists seemingly prevail, we are catching a glimpse first-hand of this great division.

Let me encourage you dear ones, find your purpose in life and start pursuing it! Like we used to say on the farm growing up – time is a - wast’in! That is why I feel we must all be accountable with the gifts we have. We must press in now, harder than ever to protect this nation from anymore corruptness. How can we do that? One is following and obeying what God has told us to do. Another is to pray for our nation and our leaders. Do you want to be known as a leaper of walls in your life? Get connected to God in prayer then obey as He commands you. You will be amazed at what kind of spiritual giant you will become! One that is able to even leap over walls!

In anticipation of all my tomorrows
I live my day compassed in Your direction
I have learned through this lifetime the futility
Of not following Your leading

So today Lord, I stick close
I watch intently as you move, and then I follow
I capture every moment you designed for me
To simply know You more

I can feel Your hand leading me
Taking mine and walking through the day
How blessed I am to have such a friendship
To know and love such a God as You!
