What’s It All About—Mankind?

The Lord has been troubling my heart lately about leadership—all kinds—in the nation, around the world, in the home, in the church, in the business places—whatever. Without mankind under their control—there would be no need for leadership. Some leaders we elect. We choose where we worship (or just hang out). We choose our vocations and professions and where we want to work, and where we want to live. So God, why the burden about leadership?

As we have seen in the recent days postings, the Bible speaks in many places about His allowing the leadership of the world—some for blessing and some for chastisement and judgment. We have the choice in that as well! Our attitudes and obedience to the Lord our God, Yahweh, Jesus Christ, The One, Truth and Light, all names of the Living God—the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob—He makes the final determination based on our lifestyle and choices.

For those who want to rebel against leadership, let me take you on a short biblical journey and show you another way to fight for Right.

Joseph—sold into slavery, became 2nd in command in Egypt. That means 2nd in command over all the citizens of Egypt.

Nehemiah—taken into captivity with the Israelites, was cupbearer to the king, and served loyally. When he received word that the wall had been destroyed around the temple, he asked the king to be able to go back to his home—and was granted permission because of his service and honorable character—even as a slave. He went back with papers from the king for safe passage!

Daniel—taken captive and placed in the king’s palace because of his honorable character, ability to learn and teach others, and all the years of his life in captivity served without denial of the One True God.

David—anointed to be king over Israel even before Saul the king was released from his position. God knows the heart of man and prepares a way out of no way, and often without a whole lot of people knowing about it. Imagine the prophet Samuel having to go and anoint David and serve Saul! David had weapons of destruction thrown at him—still he served without complaint. Day in and day out—he was by Saul’s side—until God placed him in his position of leadership.

Paul formerly known as Saul in the New Testament—a killer of the Jews, a leader in the temple, a man of great renown—traded it all in to serve the One True God. He was shipwrecked, thrown in prison, tortured, left for dead—but did not quiver a bit about whom he served and why. One of the greatest missionaries for the Lord who ever lived—didn’t cause a rebellion over money, status or other secular items—but did bring a great harvest of souls to the Lord.

Jeremiah, Ezekiel, Isaiah, Hosea, Deborah, and a list of other leaders who had a love for God, understood that mankind is divided between believers and non-believers. Ordinary people with extraordinary faith—who were not afraid to be who they are—using their gifts, talents and love of God and mankind to make a better place—and leave the battle to the Lord in Prayer.

We have a war in our hands—and a greater war that is about to break out—that will be worldwide and of mass proportions. Do we want it—of course not—who would? In God’s Jihad—A Prophetic Chronology is a section in which a prophecy states a “carotid artery” will be cut … beheadings definitely cut across the carotid artery! But these slayings are only a manifestation of those to come—and in other fashion.

• To those who have lost loved ones—my greatest sympathies and prayers for your comfort and peace.
• To those whose barbaric actions of beheading, torture, and criminal abuse—you may never be punished in your physical life—but know this—you will burn in hell for eternity unless you come to know Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior and stop your actions
• To those who aren’t sure where you stand on religion—get sure—the time is growing short and only God knows the number of days of your life
• To those on their way to serve—my fasting, prayers, and continual fight to teach others what this war is about—will be my way of supporting your heroic efforts

Psalm 37:1-9

Fret not thyself because of evil-doers, neither be thou envious against the workers of iniquity.
For they shall soon be cut down like the grass, and wither as the green herb.
Trust in the Lord, and do good; so shalt thou swell in the land, and verily thou shalt be fed.
Delight thyself also in the Lord; and he shall give thee the desires of thine heart.
Commit thy way unto the Lord; trust also in him; and he shall bring it to pass.
And he shall bring forth thy righteousness as the light, and thy judgment as the noonday.
Rest in the Lord, and wait patiently for him; fret not thyself because of him who prospereth in his way, because of the man who bringeth wicked devices to pass.
Cease from anger, and forsake wrath: fret not thyself in any wise to do evil.
For evildoers shall be cut off; but those that wait upon the Lord, they shall inherit the earth.

May the Lord of all keep each of you today and in the days ahead. May He rest and abide with you each step of the way, as each step is for His glory in whatever we say, do, and react.
