          No Apology Necessary When Jesus is your Purpose

I love listening God speak to me. Whether learning to be a better listener in prayer, or, learning the intent of God’s written word in my heart. Memorizing and meditating in time alone with our Lord reveals volumes of understanding and wisdom.

Learning to discern the revelation of God’s answer might vary with each follower. What one person recognizes reading a particular passage of scripture might be defined differently from another, reading the same truth. It’s all about the message what our Lord wants us to understand.

I spend a lot more time in prayer listening for what it is God wants from what’s on my heart. He’s searching my motive, more than just an emotional desperation of words. My anxious heart must learn complete surrender.

How often we might trespass the free gift of God’s wonderful grace because we want to set the rules of engagement.
“But the free gift is not like the trespass. For if many died through one man’s trespass, much more have the grace of God and the free gift in the grace of that one man Jesus Christ abounded for many.”
Romans 5:15 RSV

The measure of God’s love will never diminish, any more than the measure of God’s assigned faith given us. The Apostle Paul understood we’re not to think more highly of ourself than we ought. After his Damascus Road experience he recognized he must consider everything a loss for the surpassing worth of knowing Christ.

When his mind, will, and emotion, was totally surrendered into God’s authority, he understood, no apology was necessary in his defense to proclaim Jesus. Is all our purpose about understanding Jesus?
