I should mention also that there are 73 references to "plague" in the New American Standard Bible.

 

Recall too, that I believe that Satan and the demons not active in the 120 years before Noah's 600th year were released from hell in 1910, 120 years before the 6000th year in 2030. Interestingly, WW1 began shortly thereafter and ended in the first year of the Spanish Flu Pandemic (1918-1920). That pandemic infected 1/5-1/3 of the world's population (300-500 M) and killed 20-50 M, perhaps 100 M. Of course the last year of WW1 contributed to the spread of the disease and the deaths it caused.

 

There have been 3 other flu pandemics since:

 

The Asian Flu Pandemic (1956-1958), 2 M dead

 

The Hong Kong Flu Pandemic (1968), 1 M dead

 

The Swine Flu Pandemic (2009), 150,000-575,000 dead

 

By the way, there was also the 6th Cholera Pandemic (1910-1911), 800,000+ dead.

 

Not to mention, The HIV/AIDS Pandemic (at its peak, 2005-2012), 36 M dead.

 

It may be that the "pestilence" referred to in Habakkuk 3:5 refers to all of these pandemics. However, it may specifically refer to The Coronavirus Pandemic (2019-?), 3000 dead and counting. And this virus is 10-20 times more fatal than influenza.
