How do we know this? Let me try to make the case point by point:

1. As I have written in my article, ANOTHER 120 YEAR COUNTDOWN TO GOD'S SECOND DAY OF WRATH, it appears that there was demonic activity in the 120 years before Noah's 600th year and the Great Flood. (Remember that Jesus made proclamation to those demons, who are eternally bound in hell, when He descended into hell.) I am convinced that this is prophetic of Satanic and demonic activity for 120 years before the 6000th year (after 14 billion, without macro evolution) and the Great Fire. God does not execute His judgment and wrath until the rise of sin and evil reaches great heights. It would clearly make sense that just as God ordained and allowed 120 years of demonic activity before His first worldwide Day of Wrath, that He would ordain and allow 120 years of Satanic and demonic activity before His second worldwide Day of Wrath. As well, the 120 years, as a multiple of 12, is clearly a Jewish number and relates to the release of the "synagogue of Satan" (Rev. 2:9; 3:9), the unregenerate Jews, to begin returning to Palestine in greater numbers at the same time that Satan and the demons not active in Noah's day were released from hell. There are other parallels: 4 men building an ark perhaps 75 years before Noah and 7 others entered the ark 7 days before the 600th year, paralleled by Jews at the end of their 4 millennia building Israel for 75 years (since 1948) before Christ takes the 7 Churches into heaven 7 years before the 6000th year. Look at what has happened in the world since 1910. By the way, God bound those demons eternally in hell that were disobedient for 120 years before Noah's 600th year to show that He will also bind Satan and the rest of the demons eternally in hell that have been disobedient in this 120 years before the 6000th year.

2. Jesus said that He would judge Satan and cast him out:

31 Now judgment is upon this world; now the ruler of this world will be cast out.

11 and concerning judgment, because the ruler of this world has been judged.

I believe that this judgment was completed in 30 AD, but the casting out of Satan and the unbound demons was not completed until 70 AD, at the same time that the "synagogue of Satan" (Rev. 2:9; 3:9), the unregenerate Jews were cast out of the Promised Land. Amazingly and not coincidentally, this was exactly 40 years after 30 AD, prophetic of Satan and the unbound demons being cast into hell eternally at the end of Israel's 40 centuries in 2030 AD.

3. Jesus said that He would bind Satan:

29 Or how can anyone enter the strong man’s house and carry off his property, unless he first binds the strong man? And then he will plunder his house.

Mark 3:27 New American Standard Bible (NASB)

27 But no one can enter the strong man’s house and plunder his property unless he first binds the strong man, and then he will plunder his house.

4. Supernatural times usually include God's supernatural works and those of fallen angels. Consider these:

a. 7 Years of Creation: God's creative work (after 14 billion years, Gen. 1:1, 2) and Satan possessing a serpent (a dinosaur of some type?) to destroy God's work.

b. The Flood: God tilting the earth to cause the Flood and demons deceiving the world for 120 years.

c. The Exodus: God's 10 plagues and Satan's magician's lesser signs.

d. Jesus' times: His miracles and Satan's possession of Judas and demon possession.

e. Apostolic times: the Apostles' miracles and demon possession. John 9:4, 5 makes it clear that the miraculous works of Jesus and the Apostles would cease when Jesus, the Sun, and the Apostles departed:

4 We must work the works of Him who sent Me as long as it is day; night is coming when no one can work. 5 While I am in the world, I am the Light of the world.”

I am convinced that Satan and the demons departed--were cast into hell--in 70 AD at the end of the Apostolic times. You still see demon possession in the Acts of the Apostles.

f. 7 Years of Destruction: in the last 120 years of Satanic and demonic activity, the last 7 years will begin with the Resurrection and Rapture as Moses and Elijah, the 2 Witnesses, come to perform signs and then be killed and resurrected and the Beast of the Sea, the Jewish Antichrist, is fatally wounded, resurrected and possessed by Satan, the Dragon, and the Beast of the Earth, the False Prophet (the Jewish high priest at the time?), is performing signs and wonders. The final sign will be the Son of Man, Jesus Christ the King, coming on the clouds of heaven with His elect saints to destroy the destroyers and consummate His Kingdom.

5. The "apostasy" of the last times before the appearance of the "man of lawlessness" is in line with the last 120 years of Satanic and demonic activity:

2 Now we request you, brethren, with regard to the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ and our gathering together to Him, 2 that you not be quickly shaken from your composure or be disturbed either by a spirit or a message or a letter as if from us, to the effect that the day of the Lord has come. 3 Let no one in any way deceive you, for it will not come unless the apostasy comes first, and the man of lawlessness is revealed, the son of destruction, 4 who opposes and exalts himself above every so-called god or object of worship, so that he takes his seat in the temple of God, displaying himself as being God. 5 Do you not remember that while I was still with you, I was telling you these things? 6 And you know what restrains him now, so that in his time he will be revealed. 7 For the mystery of lawlessness is already at work; only he who now restrains will do so until he is taken out of the way. 8 Then that lawless one will be revealed whom the Lord will slay with the breath of His mouth and bring to an end by the appearance of His coming; 9 that is, the one whose coming is in accord with the activity of Satan, with all power and signs and false wonders, 10 and with all the deception of wickedness for those who perish, because they did not receive the love of the truth so as to be saved. 11 For this reason God will send upon them a deluding influence so that they will believe what is false, 12 in order that they all may be judged who did not believe the truth, but took pleasure in wickedness.

It was the Holy Spirit in the Church that restrained "the mystery of lawlessness" in Paul's day and it is the Holy Spirit in the Church that restrains "the mystery of lawlessness" now, until the Holy Spirit in the Church "is taken out of the way" by the Rapture. Then "the man of lawlessness" will be revealed.

Apostasy

4 But the Spirit explicitly says that in later times some will fall away from the faith, paying attention to deceitful spirits and doctrines of demons, 2 by means of the hypocrisy of liars seared in their own conscience as with a branding iron, 3 men who forbid marriage and advocate abstaining from foods which God has created to be gratefully shared in by those who believe and know the truth.

“Difficult Times Will Come”

3 But realize this, that in the last days difficult times will come. 2 For men will be lovers of self, lovers of money, boastful, arrogant, revilers, disobedient to parents, ungrateful, unholy, 3 unloving, irreconcilable, malicious gossips, without self-control, brutal, haters of good, 4 treacherous, reckless, conceited, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God, 5 holding to a form of godliness, although they have denied its power; Avoid such men as these. 6 For among them are those who enter into households and captivate weak women weighed down with sins, led on by various impulses, 7 always learning and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth. 8 Just as Jannes and Jambres opposed Moses, so these men also oppose the truth, men of depraved mind, rejected in regard to the faith. 9 But they will not make further progress; for their folly will be obvious to all, just as Jannes’s and Jambres’s folly was also.

6. The release of Satan and the demons for a "short time" is in line with their 120 years of activity before 2030 AD:

Revelation 12:12 New American Standard Bible (NASB)

12 For this reason, rejoice, O heavens and you who dwell in them. Woe to the earth and the sea, because the devil has come down to you, having great wrath, knowing that he has only a short time.”

I believe that in 30 AD, Satan and the unbound demons were "thrown down to the earth" (Rev. 12:9) by Christ's victory. "There was no longer a place found for them in heaven" (Rev. 12:8). The heavens could rejoice. But then came "Woe to the earth [Israel] and the sea [Gentile nations]" because Satan and the unbound demons had "great wrath" at the beginning of the 5th millennial "day," 30 AD-1030 AD, until they were cast into hell in 70 AD. They were released in 1910, 120 years before the end of the 6th millennial "day," 1030 AD-2030 AD, for their "short time."

3 and he threw him into the abyss, and shut it and sealed it over him, so that he would not deceive the nations any longer, until the thousand years were completed; after these things he must be released for a short time.

After God ordained Satan and the demons to destroy many of the unregenerate Jews through the armies of Rome from 66-70 AD and dispersed them to the Gentile nations, Christ threw Satan and the unbound demons "into the abyss [hell]" in 70 AD, where also all unregenerate Jews and Gentiles end up. This imprisonment was so that Satan (and the unbound demons) "would not deceive the nations any longer, until the thousand years [70 AD-1070 AD] were completed; after these things [in 1910 AD] he must be released for a short time [120 years]."

7. The references to "abyss" in Revelation are in keeping with the 70 AD and 1910 AD dates:

11 They have as king over them, the angel of the abyss; his name in Hebrew is Abaddon, and in the Greek he has the name Apollyon.

Satan is "the angel of the abyss [hell]" because he and the demons, released in 1910, had been in the abyss, hell. The "locusts" out of "the bottomless pit" of Revelation 9, over which Satan is king, are both the demons and the unregenerate Jews, the "synagogue of Satan" (Rev. 2:9; 3:9). This will be discussed more below.

Revelation 11:7 New American Standard Bible (NASB)

7 When they have finished their testimony, the beast that comes up out of the abyss will make war with them, and overcome them and kill them.

The "beast coming up out of the sea, having ten horns and seven heads" (Rev. 13:1) is the same as "the beast that comes out of the abyss" here, because Satan himself, released from the abyss, will resurrect the Jewish Antichrist when he is fatally wounded and slain (Rev. 13:3) and literally possess him. He may well be a Jewish military man who will emerge from the 10-nation Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS), headed by Russia. He will take down 3 of the other 10 leaders.

8 “The beast that you saw was, and is not, and is about to come up out of the abyss and go to destruction. And those who dwell on the earth, whose name has not been written in the book of life from the foundation of the world, will wonder when they see the beast, that he was and is not and will come.

The beast, Rome, that John the Apostle saw at the end of the 4th millennial "day," 970 BC-30 AD, "was." Then it "is not" in the 5th millennial "day," 30 AD-1030 AD. Rome fell in 476 AD. And then the beast, the CIS, "is about to come up out of the abyss [hell] and go to destruction" at the end of the 6th millennial "day," 1030 AD-2030 AD. It is really only Satan and the demons that came out of the abyss, hell, but they embody and empower the CIS.

Revelation 20:1-3 New American Standard Bible (NASB)

Satan Bound

20 Then I saw an angel coming down from heaven, holding the key of the abyss and a great chain in his hand. 2 And he laid hold of the dragon, the serpent of old, who is the devil and Satan, and bound him for a thousand years; 3 and he threw him into the abyss, and shut it and sealed it over him, so that he would not deceive the nations any longer, until the thousand years were completed; after these things he must be released for a short time.

This was covered above. Christ is the "angel coming down from heaven" in 70 AD.

8. The references to "release" in Revelation are in line with the 70 AD and 1910 AD dates:

14 one saying to the sixth angel who had the trumpet, “Release the four angels who are bound at the great river Euphrates.” 15 And the four angels, who had been prepared for the hour and day and month and year, were released, so that they would kill a third of mankind.

I believe that the seven angels that sounded the trumpets are all figures for Christ, just as are the angels of the seven churches, just as the seven spirits (Rev. 1:4; 3:1; 4:5; 5:6) are a figure for the Holy Spirit. It is likely God the Father who says to Christ, "Release the four angels who are bound at the great river Euphrates." The "four angels" (see also Rev. 7:1-3, to be discussed below) are a figure for Satan and the demons (and the unregenerate Jews, now in their 4th millennium), as the "four winds" (Rev. 7: 1, to be discussed below) are a figure for the Holy Spirit. The 4 Gentile "rivers" (water figures are always Gentiles: Rev. 17:15) during the 4 millennia of the Jews are these: Pishon, Gihon, Tigris and Euphrates (Gen. 2:10-14). The last, Euphrates, 1030 AD-2030 AD, has been the most populous and so is called "the great river Euphrates." Satan and the demons were bound in hell and the unregenerate Jews were bound in their dispersion during this Gentile millennium until 1910. Then, Christ released them. Satan and the demons killed "a third of mankind [one figure for Jews; 6 million of 18 million were killed]." The unregenerate Jews began to return to Palestine in greater numbers, especially after the Holocaust.

Satan Freed, Doomed

7 When the thousand years are completed, Satan will be released from his prison,

As I first commented on Rev. 20:3, this refers to Satan's first thousand years of imprisonment in hell being completed in 1070 AD and then his release from hell 840 years later, in 1910. The war against Gog and Magog mentioned next (Rev. 20:8-10) is not a repeat of the Battle of Armageddon (Rev. 19:17-21) a thousand years later, but rather a re-telling of the same event. I believe that there are 4-millennia stanzas that keep repeating through the book of Revelation.

9. The reference to "four angels" in Revelation 7 are in line with the 70 AD and 1910 AD dates:

An Interlude

7 After this I saw four angels standing at the four corners of the earth, holding back the four winds of the earth, so that no wind would blow on the earth or on the sea or on any tree. 2 And I saw another angel ascending from the rising of the sun, having the seal of the living God; and he cried out with a loud voice to the four angels to whom it was granted to harm the earth and the sea, 3 saying, “Do not harm the earth or the sea or the trees until we have sealed the bond-servants of our God on their foreheads.”

As discussed above under Rev. 9:14-15, the "four angels" are a figure for Satan and the unbound demons (and the unregenerate Jews). Four is one of the numbers for the Jews and Israel, because the Jews and Israel will have a story over four millennia, 1970 BC-2030 AD. And since the unregenerate Jews are the "synagogue of Satan" (Rev. 2:9; 3:9), four is also a number for Satan and the unbound demons. John the Apostle "saw" Satan and the unbound demons "standing" in his day "at the four corners of the earth [Israel]." John saw many demon-possessed Jews in his day, even Judas, whom Satan entered. Satan and the unbound demons were "holding back the four winds [the Holy Spirit and Him in Jesus' disciples] of the earth [Israel], so that no wind [the Holy Spirit] would blow on the earth [Israel at the end of the 4th millennial "day," 970 BC-30 AD] or on the sea [Gentiles before 70 AD, at the start of the 5th millennial "day," 30 AD-1030 AD] or on any tree [any Jew after 1910 AD, at the end of the 6th millennial "day," 1030 AD-2030 AD. Then John saw "another angel [Jesus] ascending from the rising of the sun, having the seal [the Holy Spirit] of the living God; and he [Jesus] cried out with a loud voice to the four angels [Satan and the unbound demons] to whom it was granted to harm the earth [Israel] and the sea [Gentiles], saying [in 70 AD, as Jesus bound them in hell], "Do not harm the earth [Israel in the 5th millennium] or the sea [Gentiles in the 5th millennium] or the trees [Jews in the last 7 years of the 6th millennium] until we [Jesus and the Holy Spirit] have sealed [by the Holy Spirit] the bond-servants of our God on their foreheads [these perhaps literal 144,000 Jewish men with perhaps similar numbers of Jewish women and children will not accept the Beast's mark on their foreheads, perhaps a financial microchip]."

10. The reference to "locusts" in Revelation 9 is in line with the 70 AD and 1910 AD dates:

The Fifth Trumpet—the Bottomless Pit

9 Then the fifth angel sounded [Jesus was victorious at the end of the 4th millennium], and I saw a star from heaven which had fallen [John saw Israel fall at the beginning of the 5th millennium] to the earth [the Jews landed in Israel at the end of the 6th millennium]; and the key of the bottomless pit was given to him [Jesus]. 2 He opened the bottomless pit [Jesus opened hell in 1910], and smoke went up out of the pit, like the smoke of a great furnace [Holocaust allusions]; and the sun [Jesus' Kingdom] and the air [Satan's Kingdom, including the "synagogue of Satan," Eph. 2:2] were darkened [by evil] by the smoke of the pit. 3 Then out of the smoke came locusts upon the earth [Satan and the demons came out of hell and "ate" the unregenerate Jews in the Holocaust and the "synagogue of Satan," unregenerate Jews, returned to Israel] , and power was given them [Satan and the demons and the unregenerate Jews, especially after the Holocaust, had power], as the scorpions of the earth have power [another insect figure like the locusts]. 4 They were told [Satan and the demons were told in the last 7 years of the 6th millennium] not to hurt the grass of the earth, nor any green thing, nor any tree [here regenerate Jews], but only the men who do not have the seal of God on their foreheads [unregenerate Jews]. 5 And they were not permitted to kill anyone, but to torment for five months [there's a 5-month period in the Noah story too]; and their torment was like the torment of a scorpion when it stings a man. [Will the Jewish Antichrist be employing tasers?] 6 And in those days men will seek death and will not find it; they will long to die, and death flees from them.

7 The appearance of the locusts was like horses [another land creature figure for Jews] prepared for battle [Satan and his demon armies and the Jewish army in Israel]; and on their heads appeared to be crowns like gold [some of the last generation of Jews will be among the elect], and their faces were like the faces of men. 8 They had hair like the hair of women [a mixed-gender army in Israel], and their teeth were like the teeth of lions [another land creature figure for Jews; the Israeli army is very strong]. 9 They had breastplates like breastplates of iron [Kevlar vests?]; and the sound of their wings [Israeli air force?] was like the sound of chariots, of many horses rushing to battle. 10 They have tails like scorpions, and stings; and in their tails is their power to hurt men for five months. [It appears that the Jewish Antichrist will use the Israeli army to keep Israelis in check--perhaps with tasers for 5 months.] 11 They have as king over them, the angel of the abyss [Satan, who came out of the abyss in 1910]; his name in Hebrew is Abaddon, and in the Greek he has the name Apollyon.
