Without hope, we have nothing. With Jesus Christ, we have everything. No matter what we’re going through, God has given us His Word which can address any situation. When we meditate on God’s Word, we can’t go wrong—it is living and powerful (Hebrews 4:12, NKJV). He cares for us and holds our future in His hands, “For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the Lord, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope,” (Jeremiah 29:11 NKJV).

God knows everything. His way is always the best. Sometimes, I think I have it all figured out, only to learn that I was mistaken. Then I have to admit that I cannot compete with His knowledge. Isaiah 55:8-9, NKJV says, “For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the Lord. For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts.” It doesn’t matter what I think or what others may think. It only matters what God thinks.

I don’t have to fear, because God is always near. The Psalmist David wrote, “Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil; For You are with me; Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me,” (Psalm 23:4, NKJV). Sometimes, my human nature may get the best of me, and I’ll begin to panic, but then I remember God’s faithfulness and His promises, and because I have Him with me, I can face tomorrow.How many people can we say we trust entirely? I can say without a shadow of doubt in my mind that God is trustworthy. Isaiah 26:3-4, NKJV says “You will keep him in perfect peace, Whose mind is stayed on You, Because he trusts in You. Trust in the Lord forever, For in Yah, the Lord, is everlasting strength.” I promise you God will never let you down and He never fails.

One of the most beautiful things to know is that I cannot be lost nor snatched from Jesus’s hand. In John 10:28-29 NKJV the scripture says, “And I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; neither shall anyone snatch them out of My hand. My Father, who has given them to Me, is greater than all; and no one is able to snatch them out of My Father’s hand.” I belong to God; I'm protected and have eternal life.

So, you see this is just a small sampling of scriptures that I have shared which can give you strength in time of need and encouragement. It only makes sense to spend time meditating on God’s word and writing it in our hearts and minds (Psalm 119:11, NKJV). Trust me there will come a time when all you can do is recall the scriptures from memory to pull you through. But if you have them embedded in your mind, you’re all set.

And remember, there isn’t anything too hard for God. He is willing to bear all of our burdens.
