Follow God’s example, therefore, as dearly loved children and walk in the way of love, just as Christ loved us and gave himself up for us as a fragrant offering and sacrifice to God. Ephesians 5:1-2 NIV

As children of the Heavenly Father, we are to walk in love. To get around in life, one must walk. To get around happily in life, we must walk in love. Happiness cannot come from anger, malice, hostility, deception, and other ways of unrighteousness and lack of holiness. Most of us do not understand the true power of love. If more of us understood the power that lies in love, there would be more love, and less hatred in this world. Jesus understood the power of love. That is why He spoke much about love. There is no room for hatred in the presence of God. If God can love us in our most sinful state, why cannot we love our neighbor? What can we honestly say that we gain of value when we are not loving?

Christ did the most loving of actions when He sacrificed Himself on our behalf. Without His sacrifice, we would all spend eternity in hell. How could we possibly acknowledge the love Christ has for us without showing the same for all others?

Walk in love, and see your life as you have never seen it before. When you walk in love, God smiles down upon you!
