I was aggravated from a stressful day at work.
Don’t I have the right to every now and then be a jerk?
I mused on this thought at the end of the day, asking myself do I have the right to have a bad day?
To answer this I must not lean to my own understanding, for I’ve been bought with a price, so what does the bible say?
Do I really have the right to have a bad day?
When I search the Lord Jesus life, I can’t find where he any excuses made.
So, do I really have the right to have a bad day?
I searched high and low in the old, and new testament and find no provision was made.
So, where did this line of thinking come from, that people have the right to have their bad behavior over looked.
It had to originate from man, that people actually think they have the right to behave contrary to God’s divine book.
I want the Lord to help me here, because some days are full of many various problems that induce stress.
The Lord however is interested in every moment of every day that I live, and he only desires to bless.
Growing older introduces a lot of added areas in the lives of God’s people that are easily overcome in their youth.
Yet the answers to all my life’s problems are even at the tip of my fingers, being found in God’s wonderful truth.
When I think my day is bad, I only need think of the sacrificial death of my Lord on the cross.
For I’ve not resisted unto blood, I have only fought my many battles in my mind, to my shame many I’ve lost.
The apostle Paul many times beaten, shipwrecked, imprisoned, fasted often of necessity, no I’ve not had days like this.
My problems tend to get very small when placed beside the martyrs that were sawn asunder, looking for heavenly bliss.
I need the Lord to help me though, because a mere knowledge which is good, will not sustain you in time of need.
In the moments when you feel nigh overcome with moods, or ill spirited, think on the Lord he will help us if we plead.
Remember that you are not your own, that you have been bought with a very high price follow the example our Lord left his flock.
Then when the war rages and you feel a spirit come over you that is not of God. Call on the Lord for help and let him hide you in the Cleft of the Rock.
