His name was the Reverend Phineas Dube. He was one of our spiritual fathers. At the very beginning of the New Year, the Lord took him home to rest. Like most members of our church who knew his leadership ministry amongst us and across the world, we celebrated his home-going with joy and peace.
But his home-going was not without pain. For years he succumbed to the debilitating effects of Alzheimer disease. I don’t know much about this ailment. But all I know is how slowly and painfully we lost the man we used to know and revere. Slowly over the past years, he became a shadow of the great man of God he used to be. But even though the devil stole from us his physical appearance, he could not even in the least touch the solid teachings this man had imparted in our hearts over a decade of his service to God.
We prayed for him in our intercessory groups. We prayed for him in our own private closets. We believed in the God who answers prayers; whether it was a yes, no, or wait. We waited, and now we believe that our dearly loved spiritual father is at peace in the presence of the Savior he so faithfully served.
We thank our God for how Reverend Phineas Dube served in Africa, Singapore, Hawaii and other parts of the world. Because of his faithfulness, some of us were blessed with training under the prestigious Haggai International Institute for Leadership, Singapore.
Our prayers are now with Mama and the family; that God would continue to minister His peace and strength in their lives.http://agiema.blogspot.com/2017/01/tribute-to-great-leader.html
