The author is against all sin. I agree totally with Paul.

What then? Are we to sin because we are not under law but under grace? By no means! Romans 6:15 ESV

God is clear - The only thing that fulfills God’s Ten Commandments, God’s law, is Love.

Owe no one anything, except to love each other, for the one who loves another has fulfilled the law. For the commandments, “You shall not commit adultery, You shall not murder, You shall not steal, You shall not covet,” and any other commandment, are summed up in this word: “You shall love your neighbor as yourself.” Love does no wrong to a neighbor; therefore love is the fulfilling of the law. Rom 13:8-10 ESV

For the whole law is fulfilled in one word: “You shall love your neighbor as yourself.” Gal 5:14 ESV

No one needs to know the written law to love.

There are many laws on the books that offer consequences for unloving and unfit parents. These laws are designed to protect children from harm. These laws have as their spirit, the reason or intent they were authored, the protection of children. Laws that protect Children are written out of love. Most parents are not even aware of these written laws. The truth is, good parents do not need to know these laws even exist to love their children. Without even being aware of it, when they raise their children in the spirit of love, they by default fulfill the written laws of which they are completely unaware.

Love does no wrong to a neighbor; therefore love is the fulfilling of the law. Rom 13:10 ESV

Love is the Spirit of all of God’s law.

Romans 13:8-10 tell us that love fulfills the Ten Commandments. This reveals to us that the Spirit, the intent of the author, of the Ten Commandments is love.

God calls all believers as ministers of the New Covenant. A ministry of the Spirit of the law and not the letter of the law.

who has made us sufficient to be ministers of a new covenant, not of the letter but of the Spirit. For the letter kills, but the Spirit gives life. 2 Cor 3:6 ESV

But now we are released from the law, having died to that which held us captive, so that we serve in the new way of the Spirit and not in the old way of the written code. Rom 7:6 ESV

And you show that you are a letter from Christ delivered by us, written not with ink but with the Spirit of the living God, not on tablets of stone but on tablets of human hearts. 2 Cor 3:3

All this is from God, who through Christ reconciled us to himself and gave us the ministry of reconciliation; that is, in Christ God was reconciling the world to himself, not counting their trespasses against them, and entrusting to us the message of reconciliation. Therefore, we are ambassadors for Christ, God making his appeal through us. We implore you on behalf of Christ, be reconciled to God.For our sake he made him to be sin who knew no sin, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God. 2 Cor 5: 18-21 ESV

The author is against all sin. I agree totally with Paul.
