THE GATE OF HELL IS LOCKED ON THE INSIDE
The Son of man shall send forth his angels, and they shall gather out of his kingdom all things that offend, and them which do iniquity; and shall cast them into a furnace of fire: there shall be wailing and gnashing of teeth. Matthew 13:41-42
As a young man in High school, I wrestled with the fact that God shall punish people eternally for sins committed in time on earth. Like millions today, this seems unfair and very cruel for a loving Father to do but after much studies and revelation, I have come to the realization that the question; isn’t eternal damnation for temporal sins overkill, could only be addressed by pointing to ‘who’ those sins were committed against. In other words, I can hurl all manner of insults at a nine year old boy selling by the streets in Jakarta, Indonesia and go unpunished but a whisper of an insult against the Saudi King in the streets of Riyadh, may amount to treason and a sentence to death by hanging. Only eternal punishment is fitting for sins committed against an eternal God. The crime must be gauged according to the worth or dignity of the person it is committed against. The creator of the entire galaxy came into time as John’s account indicates to bring salvation to mankind. He was despised by his own creatures and suffered a merciless and ruthless treatment at the hands of his creatures that resulted in Him giving up his life on the cross to secure us a place in the afterlife. What he requires of us is to repent of our sins, belief in what he did on the cross for us and confess his lordship over our lives. Have you accepted Christ yet? May God open your eyes and grant you the grace and mercy to escape his coming wrath Amen. God bless you.
Prayer:
Father Lord, I thank you for sending your son Jesus to die for me, go to hell for me so I won’t go there. I pray thee that you grant grace and mercies to the unsaved O Lord, that they may also receive remission of sins and your salvation in Christ Jesus in Jesus Name. Amen
