Aloneness is not the same as being alone or living alone. Aloneness takes many forms:rejection, no one is there for you in time of need, depression, divorce, death of a spouse, feeling left out, not fitting in, being an outcast in your family, and on and on. One can experience aloneness even when in a crowd of people if it appears that no one truly cares. 

     You might be feeling aloneness right now. That is why you are reading this article. Life is not meant to be this way. Ecclesiastes 4:9-12 says, "Two are better than one because they have a good return for their labor. For if either of them falls, the one will lift up his companion. But woe to the one who falls when there is not another to lift him up. Furthermore, if two lie down together they keep warm, but how can one be warm alone? And if one can overpower him who is alone, two can resist him. A cord of three strands is not quickly torn apart."

     People are not created to experience aloneness. This is why God created the woman. Way back in the book of Genesis with the account of Adam and Eve this is evident. God said, in Genesis 2:18, "It is not good for the man to be alone; I will make him a helper suitable for him." 

     You may be going through a stage in your life like that expressed in Psalm 72:12, which contains the phrase, "he who has no helper."If you are experiencing that, cry out to God. Jesus knows what it is like to feel aloneness. When he died upon the cross for your sins, he was forsaken by the Father, because he bore the sins of every individual, and God cannot look upon sin. He is a holy God. Jesus went through aloneness so that you can be accepted into his eternal familly, and he says that the one "who comes to me, I will certainly not cast out"(John 6:37).

     Receive God's grace today. Deuteronomy 31:6 says, "'Be strong and courageous, do not be afraid or tremble..., for the Lord your God is the one who goes before you. He will not fail you or forsake you." Even though this verse is in the context of Moses leading the people out of bondage, it still has application for you today. When you decide to invite Jesus Christ to be the Lord of your life, the Holy Spirt will indwell you 24/7. You can go from feeling aloneness to experiencing God's eternal presence. You will have a supernatural peace, love, and hope. Just like the title of a song, "You Will Never Walk Alone."
