Long back there was a messenger from God! God had instructed to him specifically and clearly that he must not eat or drink anything in a place called Bethel!

The man was actually obeying God well and doing just the way God wanted him to do!

Then came another Prophet to meet this messenger! This Prophet invited the messenger to his house to have some food!

But the wise messenger said no, "I'm not allowed to eat or drink in this place for the Lord gave me the command!"

So, this Prophet lied to the messenger and said: An angel gave me this command from Lord, "Bring him home with you so he can have something to eat or drink!"

The messenger fell for the Prophet's words and went to eat with him, breaking God's command and hence was punished to die!

Now, many may think what wrong did the messenger do? He was cheated by the prophet!

True, he was cheated by the Prophet, and trust me that prophet will have his share of punishment, but you have to understand that this person is a messenger from God! He was chosen by God to convey his word to people! Messenger was not commanded by any mere human but by God himself! God clearly instructed what to do and what not to! Inspite of that, he fell for the lies of the other prophet!

The Messenger decided to believe in the words of a man, than the instructions given by God!

Same thing happened to Eve and Adam! The Satan lied, gave temptation and they just fell into temptation without considering God's command or the later consequences!

You know friends, God loves us so much! He wants to keep us safe, protect us from destruction and that is why he gives us commands but we fail to obey him! We think with a worldly mind! We always want the easy way!

Today we have Bible, which the people back then didn't have! That is why it is so important to meditate the word and not just read in a haste! Bible will help us differentiate Good and bad, right and wrong! Every line written has a meaning! It will help you through this life!
I won't say life is easy, it's definitely not! Christ too suffered but we now have him and his grace to advocate for us, help us! We have his love to comfort us! What more do we need in a time like this! Jesus loves you friend! Trust in him! Amen
