The Fog and the Light

“Your ears shall hear a word behind you, saying, ‘This is the way, walk in it.’ Whenever you turn to the right hand or whenever you turn to the left.” Isaiah 30:21 (NKJV)

Once again, i looked and saw a dense fog that rose up from the ground. It was similar to the steam which rises to evaporate after a rain storm on a hot day, yet, very thick. As i continued to look, i saw many people walking out of the fog and moving down a road. One at a time they kept coming, all faces of believers that i knew personally, both young and old.

i wondered what the meaning of this vision was all about, so i asked the Father to show me what i needed to learn. When i asked, He turned the scene around so i was looking the other direction into a blinding, white light. Here is the interpretation …

As each believer came from the fog and cloudiness of this world, they began to walk towards the light. As we know, if we stare at the sun too long we will go blind. That is exactly what was happening to these believers. But unlike the physical blindness which leaves us wandering in the darkness, when they gazed into the light of our Lord, He directed their path so they did not stumble and fall. There was no fear or hesitation on the part of any believer who walked toward the light. Therefore, in this case, being blinded to the things of this world, and seeing nothing but His light, was a most blessed experience.

May we be a people of His light, who believe in His powerful hand to guide us when we cannot see.

Father, please blind us to the things of this world so that we only see You and Your glorious Light!
