God Help me with my Character Flaw

Scripture Reading:

Psalm 101:5 – Whoever slanders their neighbor in secret, I will put to silence; whoever has haughty eyes and a proud heart, I will not tolerate.

1 Samuel 15:23 – For rebellion is as the sin of witchcraft, and stubbornness is as iniquity and idolatry. Because thou hast rejected the word of the Lord, he hath also rejected thee from being king.

Today’s Word

This morning I was watching Dr. Phil, and he was talking about BDD which is Body dysmorphic disorder (a chronic mental illness). As I was listening to the two young beautiful ladies on the show, I was astounded by their perception of themselves that was caused by people and from the history of depression in their families (generational curse). The young ladies saw themselves as being ugly, because they were told this by other kids in school. Even though the world perceives this as a disorder, this is a spirit of deception and a spirit of defamation that is also called slandering and backbiting. The foul use of words causes people to form a negative perception of their state of being that leads to self-destruction.

Backbiting is witchcraft, and it is form of refuting against the word of God, because people use words to tear down others spiritually and mentally. When a person is torn spiritually and mentally, that person now believes he is not going to prosper and perceives himself as being less valuable asset to the world. Satan uses slandering to destroy mankind. Slandering produces self-destruction inside children and adults that leads to mild to serious depression even to death. Satan hates everything that God created, so he uses people to create illusion and delusion in the minds of other people through the spirit of defamation. When God created man and woman, he created them in His image and likeness; therefore, we have the appearance of God and capable of doing the things that God does, Proverbs 18:21. God saw all that he made, and it was very good, Genesis 1:31. Son, daughter, man, and woman when God created you, He smiled and said good. Backbiting plays a huge role in schools, families, parents and children, marriages, jobs, and friends.

My husband and I encourage you on today to guard your heart with the whole armor of God, Proverbs 4:23 and Ephesians 6:10-18, because your heart is your eternal lifeline to heaven. Jesus had to endure the slanders of the world, but He held on to His identity and His purpose for us.


Today’s Prayer

God forgive me for all my sins and wash me through the blood of Jesus Christ. Father in heaven, help me with my character flaw which is backbiting. If someone makes me angry today or in the future, I choose today and in the future to discuss it with You, Jesus, and not man. On this day, I vow not to slander a person name or reputation. In your word, it says “A good name is rather to be chosen than great riches, and loving favor rather than silver and gold”, Proverbs 22:1. Lord, help me in this weakness and deliver me. Jesus, release more protection from heaven above to the earth over my life and my families’ life and heal and deliver us all on today. Satan, be quiet and depart from our families’ lives, no more division in our homes and in our nation. In Jesus Name
