Quitting Is Not An Option!

St. Mark 14:27 says, “and Jesus saith unto them, all ye shall be offended because of me this night: for it is written, I will smite the shepherd, and the sheep shall be scattered. Verse 29: but Peter said unto him, “though all shall be offended, yet will not I. Jesus said “verily I say unto thee, that this day, even in this night, before the cock crow twice, thou shalt deny me thrice. But he (Peter) said the more vehemently If I should die with thee, I will not deny thee in any wise. Likewise also said they all. When Judas Iscariot came with the elders, scribes and soldiers to take Jesus, verse 50 said and they all forsook him and fled. The thought that I would like to leave with you is quitting is not an option, quitting is not an option.

In life, we sometimes go through circumstances that can seem unbearable. Perhaps you lost a job, a home or even a loved one. Perhaps someone in the church gave you a hard time. Maybe a saint who really was an ain`t. No matter what your situation is quitting is not an option. Beloved let not your hearts be discouraged because quitting is not an option. There will be times where the testing of your faith will be severe. The devil will put pressure on your mind to detour you from Christ. The storms of life will rise as high as a tidal wave. But a house that is built on a rock cannot fall. Yea, the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house: and it fell not: for it was founded upon the rock (Matthew 7:24-25). We will be tested and we may fail a test, however quitting is not an option. The bible says for a just man falleth seven times and riseth up again, but the wicked shall fall into mischief.

If we fall the devil tries to condemn us. This is his way of influencing us from staying with God. The devil tells some of us what`s the use? Why don`t you quit? It`s not working for you? I write to inform you that quitting is not an option. See life is designed to throw you some curve balls but no matter how many strikes you get you can still keep swinging. If someone from the church offends you, and causes you to leave the church, go to another church if you cannot or will not work it out but don`t quit Jesus. As a Christian, you must develop thick skin because some devil somewhere is going to try you. Ephesians 4:27 says not to give place to the devil. See, when we give place to the devil we put him in a position to throw us off course. Well, you can`t afford to thrown off course. Your life is at stake!

Then there are those who think that once they get saved everything is going to be all right. Everything will not be all right. The devil is going to attack you with everything you have ever done in your life. So therefore we must cultivate or go into spiritual training. We want God to do everything for us but it does not work that way. When he does not do what we want him to do, we pack up and quit. Jesus did not quit on us. Surely he could have commanded the angels to get him off the cross but he didn`t because there was a purpose involved;which is the redemption of mankind back to God,through the blood,ust like there is a purpose involved for your existence on earth! If you feel like quitting remember this: No man has ever quit God and made it to heaven unless he repented and kept Jesus as his Lord and Savior. Amen.
