Yes I Was So Bad

Was it so bad
Father, you gave us
All you had
Not sparing your greatest gift
The life of your son

Was the world really so lost
That you didn’t consider the cost
Giving up the best of your love and
The fellowship of your own

Was the price so high
That you would have to hear the cry
As your child hung dying
“Don’t leave Me alone!”

Yes, I was so bad
You gave all that you had
Sparing not the life of your Son

Yes, I was so lost
That to free me it would cost
A cry from your Child
Dying on a cross.
