Why is it that I am constantly struggling to maintain a relationship with you Jesus? Why do I allow other things to come before my friendship with you? How is it that bills, work, and relationships always seem to occupy my thoughts and my time?

Is it the old 'out of sight, out of mind' adage? Do I not realize how much I depend on you every day? Have I forgotten that you are my life, my strength? Can I forget that everything I have, I am, or ever hope to be consists in you? Why do I fail to see you in my everyday life? Am I just not looking?

Sometimes I feel we are so far apart. And then I remember. I am the one who moved.


'Lord, please help me to include you in my life everyday. Help me never forget that without you I am nothing. Help me not to live as though you aren't there. For I know you really are. Sometimes I just fail to see. Amen'
